Our Viper powered L-29 raced at Reno for the first time in 2007, piloted by Joe Gano, it set a then absolute course record of 517 mph.
In 2008, Curt Brown, former Space Shuttle Commander, qualified The Viper at 516 mph and went on to win Reno’s FIRST OFFICIAL 500 mph Gold Race, Clocking in with a WINNING SPEED OF 525 mph! Which remains the Gold Race Reno Speed Today!
