The World’s Fastest L-29
Our Viper powered L-29 raced at Reno for the first time in 2007, piloted by Joe Gano, it set a then absolute course record of 517 mph.
In 2008, Curt Brown, former Space Shuttle Commander, qualified The Viper at 516 mph and went on to win Reno’s FIRST OFFICIAL 500 mph Gold Race, Clocking in with a RECORD WINNING SPEED OF 507 mph!

In 2010, Curt set the all-time Reno qualifying record at a blistering 544 mph. He went on to win with another Gold Race at 516 mph. On the way, Friday he set an Absolute Race Record of 525 mph.
